James Stephenson
Founder | CEO
James has been an Automotive Technician for nearly 30 years, earning his Master Technician certification almost two decades ago. In 2005, he founded Precision Auto Repair in West Springfield, MA, and has grown it into one of Google’s top-rated independent auto repair shops. Under his leadership, Precision Auto has been named “Best Auto Repair Shop in West Springfield” for 10 years and counting, recognized for its commitment to quality, honesty, and exceptional customer service.
When he’s not at the shop, James enjoys spending time with his family and staying active through fitness and outdoor activities. His dedication to excellence—both personally and professionally—continues to drive the success of Precision Auto Repair and inspire his team.
Matt Rivest

Matt started with us just shy of 10 years ago with a strong history of customer service and business management. He quickly worked his way up to the role as Service Manager, and now President of the day to day operations.
​
His empathetic nature, attention to detail, and natural ability to lead others make him a perfect fit for this position which eventually evolved into Matt taking an Leadershiop role in Precision Auto at the beginning of 2023.

In his personal time he enjoys spending time with his wife, 2 children, and dog "Winston".
Ricardo
Aka "Little Papi"

Shop Foreman
Ricardo came to us with just about 20 years of experience as a Professional Automotive Technician. He enjoys working on larger and more intricate repairs such as engine rebuilds, timing chain repairs, and engine reseals. Which is awesome because he’s incredibly good at them! In 2023 Ricardo became a Partner at Precision Auto and plans to help us grow for the next 20 years.

Ricardo is originally from The Dominican Republic and became a US Citizen in July of 2019. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife, children, and dog "Freddy".
Steve
Master Technician
Steve came to us with just about 30 years of experience as a Certified Master Automotive Technician. He excels at larger jobs that require a lot of skill and experience to complete. His attention to detail and quality control are only a couple of the reasons why we enjoy working with him.

In his spare time Steve enjoys spending time with his family and riding his motorcycle.
Alex
Automotive Technician
Alex came to us with just under 10 years of experience as an Automotive Technician. He grew up locally and pursued a career as an Automotive Technician.

Alex excels at all areas of the job, including being a really good dude to work with! In his spare time he enjoys taking day trips and spending time with his family, friends, and Australian Shepherd "Ollie".
Nick
Service Manager
Nick recently relocated to the area from Virginia where he was managing a large family owned chain of auto repair shops. In his spare time he loves watching crime shows, spending time with his wife and their 2 Yorkshire Terriers - Bear & Otis
